THURSDAY, MARCH 23
8:00-9:00 Breakfast
9:00-10:00 AM: Discussion: The Landscape of Inclusive Design & Low-Vision Users: Introduce disability/impairment, project challenge, the need for accessible data, personas and user journey maps. Introduce Technical and Functional Access Standards: Color contrast, Inverted Colors, Screen Readers and a few custom gestures for vision impaired users.
10:00-11:00 AM: Present eye conditions that coordinate with challenge. | Explain effects of different conditions. | Go through digital simulator tools. | Student groups make their own low vision simulator goggles and create models charts using digital simulator tools.
11:00 AM-noon: Students complete tasks wearing the goggles (1. Complete simple task in the environment and 2. Access data in the software platform). Discussion afterward of experience.
Noon-1:00 PM: Begin ideation exercises (Identify pain points in experience and User Journey Map; begin sketching). Pass out wireframe templates. Students work on concept sketches and storyboards and/or wireframes in the evening.

FRIDAY, MARCH 24
9:00-10:00 AM: Meet as a class to discuss concept sketches and storyboards and/or wireframes. Consider how these ideas might transform the user experience. What If exercise.
10:00 AM-12:00 PM: Create low-fi prototypes of concepts. Add hotspots to paper prototypes or storyboard slide show. Include a few computer generated layouts of key visualizations/screens. Test with peers wearing goggles as you go.
12:00 PM-1:00 PM: Share/Test lo-fi prototypes with peers/visitors. Discussion of work and potential next steps. Class wrap-up
